Podura aquatica

Class: COLLEMBOLA Lubbock, 1870

Species: Podura aquatica Linnaeus, 1758. Very common, widespread.

Fully adapted to life on the water, often with thousands on stagnant water. A very ordinary species, although I have not yet much come across it in Drenthe. Characteristic are the long claws on the legs.
